Nicodemos Damianou is the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Brown University (USA), a PhD in Computer Security and Policy-Based Management of Enterprise-Wide Computer Networks, a Diploma in Information Security from Imperial College London (UK), and an MBA from the University of Cyprus. As an experienced technology and information security professional, Nicodemos has extensive expertise in payment systems, fintech, risk management, and digital transformation. Before joining the government, he held senior leadership positions within the Bank of Cyprus Group and served as General Manager of JCC Payment Systems Ltd from 2017 to 2024.
