Kyriakos Iordanou assumed the duties of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry on 2 December 2025. Previously, he served as General Manager of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) from January 2012 to November 2025, with overall responsibility for the management, advancement and supervision of the accountancy profession in Cyprus, as well as the representation and promotion of ICPAC in Cyprus and abroad. His professional career began in 1995 in the banking sector. He subsequently held roles as a financial controller, financial and business consultant, and later joined the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus, where he served as accountant and internal auditor until 2011. During 2019-2021, he was President of the Parallel Parliament for Research, Innovation and Digital Governance. He is a member of numerous professional bodies, including ICPAC, ACCA, CIPFA and the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, and holds an MBA from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands.
