Luis Picas Asmarats is the Managing Director of Investments at Hotel Investment Partners (HIP). They have more than 11 years of experience in Investment Banking, having developed a professional career across São Paulo, London, Madrid, Barcelona, and Mexico City. Previously, Luis served as Executive Director at BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking, specializing in the Hospitality and Real Estate sectors, leading M&A, Financing, and Capital Markets transactions in Spain and Mexico. Between 2008 and 2010, Luis worked at Banco Santander, where responsibilities included investing equity and subordinated debt in Renewable Energy projects across Spain, the United States, Brazil, and Mexico, as well as managing a CO2 emissions rights fund. Luis holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and an MBA from IESE Business School and The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
